    I think this is a merlin falcon. If anyone in the community can confirm or identify this small raptor more accurately, please comment below. Thank you! I took this photograph in the eastern section of Zion National Park, north of Checkerboard Mesa. I was actually looking for desert big horn sheep when this beautiful bird showed up. I didn't see any sheep that day, but I did see a beautiful bird in flight.
