Taz hanging out in the tunnel area of his group's porch, watching construction in the open-air habitat, which will soon be completed. These former lab chimps will soon walk on grass and climb trees for the first time in their lives. Taz is 22 and spent his entire life in a laboratory until 2016 when he was retired to a sanctuary. That's 22 years of living in a concrete environment. Watching him play in a natural setting after 22 years will be an amazing experience.
