I'm not sure if the same birds return to the same place every migration period, but I believe they likely do. If that's the case, mi amigo the red tail has come back! I spotted him at dusk last night and now I have seen both this one and the much lighter red tail. It's going to be a good winter of hawk photography to go along with all the other many birds I've seen return in the last couple weeks. Never thought I'd ever say that winter is my favourite season (until I moved to Mexico)!
