Day 6 of an 8 day trek to Baraadsar Lake in the Indian Himalayas. We woke up before the sunrise to start our hike on ‘summit day.’ I noticed my friend Shannon admiring the vast landscape of the Himalayas and decided to capture the moment. Local folklore claims the extremely holy lake nestled between Rupin and Supin valleys has healing power. Hindus perform pilgrimages here every year to heal ailments of loved ones, as no prayer goes unanswered by the lake’s God.
