Day 5 of an 8 day trek to Baraadsar Lake in the Indian Himalayas. Here, my friend Amiya is admiring one of the snowy Himalayan peaks we could see in the distance before continuing along the ridge path. Local folklore claims the extremely holy lake nestled between Rupin and Supin valleys has healing power. Hindus perform pilgrimages here every year to heal ailments of loved ones, as no prayer goes unanswered by the lake’s God.
