View of Stinson Beach from Mt. Tamalpais as the roadway over the mountain descends toward the Pacific Coast side of the Marin Hills. After all of the hairpin turns we experienced on the mountain, it was good to see that the highway would soon be leveling out to become close to sea level. Behind the large spit of sand (to its right in the photo) is the Bolinas Lagoon, an important tidal estuary.
