    I captured this photo during the Pattan kadoli village festival ,The Vittal Birdev Annual Yatra is celebrated at Pattan Kodoli village in Kolhapur district of Maharashtra attended by thousands of devotees,The festival is celebrated to offer prayers to the community diety of the shepherds, Shri Vittal Birdev, an incarnation of Lord Shiva.

    India is such a vibrant culture and this image compels me to take part. The direct stance, low angle of the image, and blanket of color engages my eye and makes me want to learn more about the event. Shooting an image that compels the viewer to want to learn more is hard to do and you’ve done that here.
