This old branch, bleached by the sun, is lying against a sand dune in the Kalahari desert in the Southern part of Namibia. The wind created lovely patterns and textures on the dune and the late afternoon sun created dramatic long shadows. Beauty and desolation are contrasts associated with the Kalahari.
