Sunset over the Jutogh Hill, near Shimla
Sunset at Shimla is rather an interesting phenomenon, specially in the winter time. Red sky is due to the pollution-laden atmosphere below the temperature inversion layer. Inversion layer traps the pollutants in the lower atmosphere; it almost works like a lid over a saucepan.
