Dwarf boa
Did you know that there are dwarfs boas?
Well yes, this is one of them, the Northern Eyelash Boa (Trachyboa boulengeri). They are no more than 30 centimeters, and always are crawling around aquatic habitats. Over its eyes they have scales that look like eyelashes, which gives to this species of boa, an aspect of viper; but is not.
Sadly, in Ecuador, this species is strongly threatened due to the destruction of its habitat: the Chocó rainforest.
