I found this rose in the Old Idaho Penitentiary’s rose garden in Boise this summer. The prison is now a museum, but the rose garden has been there since it was still operational and was the first place to breed the Tropicana Rose in the 1960s. I loved the juxtaposition of the bleakness go the prison and the beauty of the roses.
