This is a paragraph I found in a new york times article about bridges, it describes the symbolism I perceive every time while on my walks, I find myself looking forward to cross three city bridges near the downtown area: "The connection and disconnection, appreciation for what is ahead and what is behind, the shadows of doubt and light of hope, and the search for meaning in it all".
