On our way back to USHUAIA, after enduring days of 25-foot waves on the open ocean heading through the drake passage, we entered the beagle channel and i looked over the bow of the ship to see three dolphins playfully surfing the pressure wave put out by the ice-breaker just below the waterline. They were so clearly doing it just because it was fun and because they could. Their ability in the water is truly humbling and was pure joy to witness.
