Jökulsárlón Beach
Icebergs bomabarded by the North Atlantic Ocean. Unfortunately these beautiful sculptures of ice have a sobering undertone, they are cast-off's of the rapidly retreating Vatnajökull Glacier in Iceland. A result of rising global temperatures, of which is not disputed among the islands inhabitants...it's simply fact, as they sadly watch it melt away, more and more every year.
Photographed on the black beach near JÖKULSÁRLÓN Lagoon, southern Iceland.
