A butterfly has represented many things, but to me it represents happiness... On the quest for happiness, Christopher McCandless ultimately met his demise. He adventured many means of happiness, he saw people with nothing that were truly happy, he saw people with everything that were unhappy. In his final days with time to reflect, he found that he was most happy when in the company of others. Evident in his final writing: "Happiness is only real when shared..."
