Lake Suwako is a large lake in the central Japan, Suwa, Nagano, Japan. In the past, there was thick ice covered the lake surface every winter. However, in recent years, the frequency of freezing is decreasing, and the ice is also thinning because of the Global warming and the Eutrophication of the water pouring into the lake.
