Chhath Puja

Chhath is an ancient Hindu Vedic festival. Chhath Puja is mainly celebrated in the Indian state of Bihar and eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh. The significance of Chhath Puja is to thank Sun for bestowing the bounties of life on earth and to request the granting of certain wishes. Chhath does not involve any idol worship.
