This picture shows one of the few primary remains of Atlantic Forest, one of IUCN hotspots, an ocean of green in the Rio de Janeiro State, inside a Park, the Parque Estadual da Costa do Sol. The Atlantic Forest is one of the most biodiverse and threatened natural places in the world, having only 8% of its original cover left. This part of the park, here depicted, is inside the municipallities of Búzios and Cabo Frio, which suffer a crescent pressure wave from real estate speculation.
