Living outside your motherland is not less than a punishment, especially when you belong to a heaven like place Kashmir. In 2017 I went home in winter season after more than five years. Gulmarg a famous tourist destination in kashmir was already under three feet of snow and still snowing like hell.

Timely and current - This image reminds me of so many experiences I have had, fighting the winter here in the Austrian Alps. I love how there is such a subtle feel to all three characters in this picture. Caught unaware and in the moment of the blizzard. The only colour coming from the umbrella. It really depicts winter. Great job Shafqat!
