Edit Photo Details Hierve el Agua, "the water boils"   #hierveelaguaoaxacamexicophotographylandscape
It was quiet a drive to reach Hierve el Agua. At an altitude of 5800ft, zigzagging on a small narrow road all the way to the top, I thank my friend Orquidea for recommending to rent a Jeep. It was 10am when we finally arrived after 70km drive from Oaxaca city. Clear blue skies with no tourists yet, we were told it gets very crowded in the afternoon. It was once a sacred place now a tourist attraction. It’s known for it's mineral pools for healing purposes and for its crystallized waterfalls.
