Visiting Manila with friends, I was able to get involved in community art activities in Balubad with Philippino children. I brought along a Maori korowai cloak made for me by NZ Maori artist Adrienne Patterson with Samoan tapa cloth. The kids were so fascinated by it, they literally could not keep their hands off it. A beautiful exchange of cultural knowledge.
