Tongli is one of the most beautiful water towns in China, located in the Yangtze River delta. It is surrounded by five lakes and is crisscrossed by a network of canals that are fed by the confluence of three rivers. I took this photo during my last visit in China, and I had the feeling of old China, unaltered in time, which is quite rare in China of today.
