I was on a path somewhere in the heart of the Kings Canyon, I can't remember exactly where. I noticed movement out of the corner of my eye as I walked along. I spotted this young prince of the forest grazing among the trees. I did my best to move close without disturbing his meal. At the moment of this shot, he suddenly turned to look at me. We watched each other for a bit before he lost interest and continued on his way.
