    This one of two Beacons that ships would line up to approach the Port of Melbourne to navigate the deep water channel once inside Port Phillip Bay, if they survived getting through the Heads. I love the Flash Gordon Spaceship look of the Beacon and the modern navigation lights leading in the same direction as the beacons point.
