The eagle was perched on a log floating in the middle of Lost Lagoon, Stanley Park, and spent a long time looking around before deciding to fly off over the trees. It was the first time I have been able to observe an eagle this close in Stanley Park and usually expect to see cormorants and seagulls perching on this log in the centre of the lagoon.
