I'd been out for a couple of days visiting woodlands and different areas hoping to photograph an owl with no luck whatsoever, finding pellets and whitewash but no birds. On the last day, on the drive home I took a detour and found this little Eastern Screech owl, purely by chance, nestled in a tree cavity.
