    Columns that line the main street in the ruins of the Roman city of Bet She'an in Israel. It must have been an impressive city in its day. The Biblical tel of Bet She'an was located on the mound or tel in the background. It also has ruins from the time the Egyptians ruled the area. The tel was made up of several different settlements or cities built on top of one another throughout the centuries.
