Sawyer in Glacier
A sawyer pauses while cutting a fireline in Glacier National Park. When fire intensity drops, crews can go directly next to the fire, building control lines. It's the preferred method for the Wyoming Hotshots. We jokingly hear from other crews about how it must be time to go direct because we showed up.
