A young male Common Kingfisher flew toward me and showed me hovering in the air. The shrill chirp let me know its presence there. This moment seemed to be not for the hunting but for the watching around. It did the same actions several times and all of a sudden dived into the river to hunt fish just in front of me. This was taken in the Tama river in Tokyo, Japan.
