    This could have been taken from a light plane flying low over enormous desert sand dunes, with the late afternoon sun casting long shadows, but it isn't! It's not taken from a plane at all. In fact, it is a close up of windblown sand on the North Shore beach at Noosa in Queensland. It was taken in the late afternoon, however.
