Scarlet dreams - Gljúfrabúi Waterfall
An incredibly hard shot to achieve with the lack of light, wind in the cave and absurd amount of spray making a flash impossible to use. This was shot with natural light filtering down through the cave like opening from above.
From Your Shot photographer Sukanya De: “This beautiful moment stands out to me, in poetic exuberance and aesthetic contrast!! I love the splash of red in the lone subject standing peacefully still against the white cascading water… It's a moment to wonder at nature's never-ending source of energy, and powerful vastness… a moment between neutrals and vibrant, a moment between feeling the chaos outside and calm within. Love the light, love the impact… feels like a dream!!!”
