Sri Lankans’ staple food of is rice. Water is one of the key necessities for the rice cultivation. In the dry zones of the island, there are thousands of water reservoirs made by the ancient kings. The flowers grown in these are plucked for the offering for Lord Buddha. In the time of the dawn, using a rubber tube, this boy plucks lotus in one of those reservoirs. He would sell them for the ones come for monasteries.
