This church is in Pillipuram is in Kochi in India. Portuguese built a fort here in 1503; the oldest European monument in India, which, later went to Dutch, then British, finally to local people. A church dedicated to S.Mary too was built by Portuguese ,rebuilt, modified etc across centuries. What we see here is old church from Dutch period. It is believed that a miracle occurred to save the faithful from an invading army, by hiding the church in mist and people gathered in church were saved.
