Cape Girdled Lizard
The Cape Girdled Lizard is one of the best-known South-African lizards, probably because it has such a wide distribution and occurs along the coast which is densely populated by man. Here he is eating a juicy bug. Its biggest treat is the coastal development - thus us, humans. This photo was taken at Schoenmakerskop, Port Elizabeth, SA.
