    Last year freezing rain fell from the clouds above my town. Given that travel was dangerous on the hills in our neighborhood, it was surprisingly quiet when I first stepped outside. I found that slowly sliding my feet along the ground was the safest way to make my way towards my garden plants. The center of this flower sparkled in the early morning light of day, so I just had to capture the essence of this frozen beauty.
