For me in my 70’s every day at Ella in the wild Sri Lankan hills brings a new challenge. Have the monkeys destroyed more mangoes? Did the storm knock down a tree? Will our guests be able to get down to the waterfalls or do the paths need clearing again? But my husband and I pride ourselves that with a small band of helpers we have managed to tame an area of the surrounding paradise, including this pond we made, for others to enjoy. Wow – what an adventure!
