We waited, along with a number of other people for the last supermoon of 2017 at Mills River Overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway on December 2, 2017. In spite of the cold, there was a cheerfulness and almost party atmosphere while we waited and universal awe as the moon rose over the ridge.
