The little Orangutan lives with his mother for several years. despite being perfectly able to move among the branches of the forest, she prefers to remain attached to her for much of the time. His attitudes are irresistibly affectionate. This picture was taken in Tamjung Puting N.P. in Kalimantan (Borneo) where a Conservation and Protection Program is in place to safeguard the last Orangutan communities from advancing palm oil plantations.
