Wandering the streets of Havana one night, I noticed a bright light emanating from a doorway. Pushing aside my hesitation I peered in to find a barber, like an artist and his canvas, deep in concentration with his work. Asking in broken Spanish if he would let me photograph him, he replied with a brief nod, quickly resuming the work at hand.
