    Reported by:

A Trinidadian thick-tailed scorpion, endemic to the island republic of Trinidad & Tobago, ventures forth under the cover of dark to hunt. This species is one of the deadliest in the world, and we encountered several of them on a night walk with my herpetology group in the Nariva Swamp - their natural habitat. This scorpion was shot in the dark with a macro lens using UV flashlight for illumination.
