The largest swan in the world, the Trumpeter Swan, is native to North America. The swan was nearly extinct in Ontario not so long ago. They have since been re-introduced and are now thriving once again. The swans are tagged for tracking purposes. This is few of the Trumpeter Swans on the frozen lake Ontario during sunrise. The lake is frozen over due to the extreme cold that has gripped the city, on this particular day it was around -20C.
