With windchill below -20 on New Year's Eve I wasn't able to explore much other than what I could see outside my windows. Having lived most of my life in the Midwest the Cardinal has become a common and often overlooked part of my everyday life. It's actually a fairly unique birg for this area given its bright color and sharp angles. The branches really made the birds natural form pop. I used the frame of the viewfinder to explore how I could emphasis what I was seeing.
