Buddha Beheaded
Angkor Wat is a huge and beautiful place. Originally created for Hindu worship it was later claimed and transformed into a Buddha temple complex. Basically, today’s Thai and Cambodian peoples fought for control for centuries. The statues here are of Buddha all beheaded during one of their religious purges.
