    After climbing up the 1,048 railroad ties to the top of Koko Head Crater on the Hawaiian island of Oahu, I didn't expect to see such a interesting flower, especially in such a stark setting. While walking around the rim of the crater enjoying the views 1,200 feet below, I spotted this Starfish (Carrion) flower on the edge of a patch of dirt. The hairs on the flower made it look like it was floating in the air and superimposed on the ground below.
