I joined an expat, and practicing shaman into Cajas national park, when I saw a peak I felt inclined to be on. We parted ways, as I continued on a network of llama trails, frequently looking back for my bearing. It was a chance I took in the name of adventure, alone at such a high altitude, in a place that has taken many lives in the freezing night, but I made it. I sat alone on my mountain throne and watched the clouds form before me. I will surely return to this magical land.
