For good 10 minutes Charlie wowed the onlookers at the Venice Beach skateboard park with his dazzling moves. And then he slipped once. While going through one of his acts, he lost his footing, skate board and rolled down the edge. Most skateboarding photos out there are of the successful stunts. While those photos show the skills of the skateboarders honed over time with hard work, they often isolate the viewer from the risks involved and the consequences of a misstep in this sport.
