A Riad is a traditional Moroccan (guest) house with an interior courtyard. Almost all house windows are oriented towards this central garden to protect the rooms from the outside high temperatures. This way, when I first saw a Riad from the outside, I did not know what to expect, so I was curious to immediately open its huge gate and then I was marveled to discover this amazing central courtyard from another world.
