    Tusu or Makar Parab is an important harvest festival celebrated by women of all ages in the Chotonagpur belt.In Purulia and some other Jharkhand districts the celebration center round the Chaudal.The Chaudal or so to say the four sided palaquin is a rectangular structure made of bamboo sticks,colourful papers and plastic toys.These are worshipped during the festival and immersed at the end in the water bodies.In this pic two women making a Chaudals.
