Sometimes exploring familiar scenes in a different season or different time of day is as rewarding as seeing new places. This day was so cold (-40C) that a frozen icy mist hung over the lake. The sun was trying to squeeze through the mist when a solitary gull flew listlessly into the scene. Me and the gull were the only creatures crazy enough to be out on such a frigid day.
