Every year winter carnival is held in Manali, Himachal Pradesh. Women from many villages take part in this event. It is during this time one can see the different clothing of the state. I was amazed to see women in their traditional dress, pattu. Each pattu has its own distinct weave. Also, check out the footwear. It is made from sheep wool.
